Are you interested in learning how to create your own unique Jewelry pieces? Look no further than Monsieur Pamplmousse’s Jewelry Making Workshop! This creative workshop offers a unique and exciting experience that you won’t find anywhere else.
Students will have the opportunity to create their own jewelry using beads, clasps, pendants, and other components, all chosen from Monsieur Pamplmousse’s personal collection that he has collected from his world travels, trade shows, and estate sales.
For this unique experience, join Monsieur Pamplemousse for an evening of great food, delicious sweets, amazing drinks, and above all, one-of-a-kind jewelry. From the moment they enter the studio, students receive the VIP treatment. They are greeted with welcoming gifts, small bites, a make-your-own craft cocktail station, and award-winning desserts.
It all started when Alex Agudo fell into a strong interest in jewelry while embarking on a spiritual journey to find calm within himself in Chicago's bustling Uptown area soon grew into a sophisticated fashion interest, and that's when Monsieur Pamplemousse was born. Inspired by his modest upbringing and belief that everything is valuable, he draws designs with both modern and old pieces. A true stylist, he has an attention for color and texture, drawn from his lifestyle of frugality and adventure-seeking. His asymmetric pieces are timeless classics for the creative explorer. His all-consuming passions and outstanding eye combine for one-of-a-kind looks that reflect multi-cultural designs from England, Spain, France, Portugal, the Philippines, as well as his extensive travels around Central and South America. With a great personality and refined ways, he puts in all of the energy that's found in each of his creations.
If you are new to jewelry-making, this class will be a perfect introduction to the basics, like stringing and wire working. You will make 2 pieces of jewelry. One will be an earring, bracelet, and necklace set or earrings and a bracelet set. You will have a wide variety of materials to choose from. All materials can be purchased at the store or you can also bring some of your favorite beads. We'll provide 30-35 minutes of time for you to choose the beads & materials you want to work with, and you'll then have 2 hours to create your design.
This specialty experience is hosted at our partner art studio event space in the South Loop.
