Chicago Best Pumpkin Patches and Festive Instagram Spots

Fall is here and so is the pumpkin season! Although coronavirus has caused cancellation of many events and social experiences this year, it will not take away the festive flavor of the season - whether it is in your latte, donut, or the cutest social media posts and while some of our favorite popup fall/halloween events might not take place in Chicago this year, many pumpkin patches will remain open with the limited capacity and new safety regulations.

Here is where you can pickup a pumpkin for a festive home decoration or pumpkin carving, purchase fresh produce, apples, sunflowers, and, of course, take the cutest festive outdoor pictures or maybe even host a professional photoshoot.

COUNTY LANE ORCHARD

Location: Hobart, Indiana (200 S County Line Rd, Hobart, IN 46342)

Season: August 28th - October 31st, (Open daily, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm)

! Must tries: apple cinnamon & pumpkin donuts

Things to note: masks are mandatory

Fun Family Activities: U-pick apples, u-pick pumpkins, u-pick sunflowers, free live outdoor concerts (barnyard jams), corn maze ($7.00), kids farm, moo chooo rides for kids ($2.00/ride, $10.00 pass), delicious bakery on site

DIDIER FARMS

Location: Lincolnshire, Illinois ( 16678 Aptakisic Rd, Lincolnshire, IL 60069)

Season: September 19th - October 31st, (Open daily, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm)

Things to note: masks are mandatory, no pets allowed, online ordering available, see safety measures here

Fun Family Activities: u-pick pumpkins, the tractor drawn hayride corn maze, animal zoo, children kiddie rides, pig races, farm stand and fresh baked goods, and many more

SONNY ACRES FARMS

Location: West Chicago, Illinois (29W310 North Ave, West Chicago, IL 60185

Season: September 19th - October 31st, (Open T-F, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Sa-Su 9:00 am - 4:00 pm)

Things to note: restaurant on site, masks are mandatory

Things to note: No pets or outside food may be brought in, don’t forget your mask, consider buying tickets in advance (GA: $12.99-$16.99), online ordering available

Fun Family Activities: u-pick pumpkins, u-pick apples, Entrance to Animal Land, Pedal Karts, Tire Mountain, Corn Stalk Maze, Wagon Ride to the Field /Orchard, Haunted House, Munchkin Maze, Straw Bale Maze, Western Town, Pumpkin Eating Dinosaur, Goebbert’s Pumpkin Express Train Ride, Pumpkin Slide, Jumping Pillow, Chicken Show, Pig Races, and Corn Box (Pony and Camel rides are available for an additional cost of $6 each, and our Pop-A-Shot Attraction for big kids is an additional $3).

“Our Fall Festival is what we are known for! We offer a full day of family-friendly activities that are sure to delight kids and grown-ups of all ages. The General Admission fee includes almost all of the activities on the Farm. Parking is free, and we are open rain or shine. In inclement weather, some activities do need to be shut down. Bengtson's Pumpkin Farm and Fall Fest
